Ok...I'm running into this same problem on my home network. I have two Vista Ultimate PC's and one XP machine. All of these machines were set up with no passwords. Both Vista PC's can access the XP PC without having to enter any information. If I try to access a Vista PC with either the other Vista PC or the XP PC it's asking for a username/password. All of my PC's were set up with the same workgroup name, and no passwords. I figured "workgroupname\pcname", but if I enter nothing for a password, I can't get in. Could someone give me a hand?

Doesn't this have to do with
Doesn't this have to do with your network and sharing center settings? There under sharing and discovery under share the public folder it shows that a password is required...I don't know if this is it, but that is my first thought...perhaps an user account with a password is required.
