Now that the land store is due to reopen, and we seem to be heading into a decent fall/winter season for SL, I'm honestly thinking of buying more land a bit faster and actually advertising my sims.
This seems to be a fairly high-level forum discussion in here - the 'vibe' I get is that direct ads might not be appropriate, in spite of the forum sticky. The ads I've cooked up are in the form of fairly irreverent cartoons (.jpg files) and will be running once a week in the Metaverse Messenger through the holiday season.
The forum sticky says this:
Advertising of inworld businesses, products and services, as well as any businesses related to Second Life is permitted in this forum only. Anything unrelated to Second Life will be removed without notice.
So, Christiano,
1) Do you still really want ads in this forum, as opposed to say, a new Classifieds section?
2) How much trouble would I get into, if if the ads are a little bit irreverent? *grin* I can provide a sample here I suppose, if that's okay.
3) Yeah, I've been looking at your banner ads. Trouble is, none of my material 'fits' in those tiny box strips... meh.
