Hi,
I have upgrade my Windows XP professional to a Windows Vista Enterprise on my notebook (Asus W1N). I had some drivers compatibility problems, but now everything runs cool.
Except one little detail :
When I boot my computer and the battery is plugged, my processor work at 100% of is capacity : 1.69Ghz (Intel Pentium M)
When I boot my computer and the battery is not plugged, my processor work at 35% of is capacity : 600Mhz (well this may be normal)
But when I plugged the battery, nothing append, the processor is always working at 1/3 of is capacity.
When I was under Windows XP I used the Asus Power4 Gear in order to switch my configuration (SAving Battery, Full Power, etc.)
Now under vista, even if I change my battery strategy, nothing append, and in fact I need to reboot my computer in order to have the full proc power.
Is this a known compatibility issue or some parameters that I don't understand ?
Thnaks a lot for any help
