Ok, it seems that there are quite a few people having problems with Vista, which is expected, but the problems that people are experiencing can easily be averted!
If anyone else has something else that they think I should add to this list, let me know and I'll edit the post!

NOTE...........................
STAY AWAY FROM THE 64BIT VERSION FOR AT LEAST ANOTHER 6 - 12 MONTHS! IT IS NOT WORTH IT!
DO NOT INSTALL VISTA OVER XP AS AN UPGRADE! 9 times out of 10, you will have alot of problems with Vista if you "UPGRADE" over XP.
Step 1. Make sure you have updated your BIOS, and if you have a graphics card that is more than 6 - 12 months old, and is not at least 256MB, consider updating, you can find a cheap higher spec card on eBay.
Step 2. Ensure you have at least 512MB of RAM installed. (Even though your system takes about 64MB for shared memroy, Vista still runs fine, it will not give you any grievances)
Step 3. Format your hard drive, start the install.
Step 4. Search the net for updates to your hardware.
Step 5. And always remember, if a program won't work in Vista, you can right click the program, select Properties, Compatability, and select the windows XP SP2 compatability mode.

Cheers,
Thorn.
