Vista Install not seeing Drives

Well I bought Ultimate, stuck it in and it was fine up to the point where it asks you which drive to install it on. None of my serial ATA drives show up, the only thing that will show up is my USB hard drive if I have it turned on. I already did a few things on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927520 but nothing seems to be working, if any of you have a answer I could really use it!

The HDDs are Western Digitals and I think the Controllers are ok but Im not to sure...

Anyone know how to update the current version of U3 Launchpad on Vista machine w/o having to go to Win XP machine to do it? Or is this still being worked out?

The Launchpad works only in Win XP but not in Vista. However, you can get Launchpad version updates only from the Launchpad, meaning ya gotta find a Win XP computer somerwhere. Ya can't do it from a Vista machine.

"save as picture" problem

Hi fellow members,

I am a newbie. I have a problem.
When I save picture files using IE7 using "save as picture", I choose a particular destination folder to save to.
But if I subsequently save the 2nd, 3rd, 4th file and so on , it don't remember which was the last folder saved to. That wastes time as I have to specify the folder again. That is bad.

In Win XP, when we continuously save files, it remembers which was the last folder we save to. That is good.
How do I make Win Vista to operate that way as in Win XP?

64bit or 32?

Sat, 2007-03-10 13:50 - Topics:

Hi,
I want to buy a new PC with Windows Vista. I chose a 2,5 Core 2 Duo and 2GB Ram and 700GB. I think it is a good system for Windows Vista (isn't it?).
From a friend I heard that Windows Vista 64bit works better, because the System do not crach and works faster. But I also heard that some driver and software isn't working with the 64bit version.
What do you say, is the most software, Driver and Games working with the 64bit version?

And: Is every XP software working with Win Vista? (Because my french vocabulary software is for Win XP)

Hope for answers!
