Buying Vista but wait until 2009 .....

I was shocked to hear the latest news from pcworld about Microsoft is now working on the next new Windows operating system to be release in end of 2009 and it will be fastest than Windows Vista but the new operating system will be called Windows Vienna to be out soon in 2009. But....bad news for Windows Vista - it cannot be upgrade but good news for all Windows XP as it can upgrade to Vienna. Another ripped off Microsoft.

Is Vista worth buying?

Sat, 2007-02-24 09:48 - Topics:

I used Vista RC1, and was very pleased with it, bugs n' all. The only thing I didn't like was it wasn't compatible with my Home Network. But Microsoft has announced a new Windows, codenamed "Vienna" due for release in 2009.

XP had a long and prosperous life. Is it a good idea to give Vista a short one? Most people I know said they were going to wait a year or two until they've sorted out a few bugs, but by then, as some people are calling it, Windows 7 will be released. MS said they were going to give Windows a complete makeover, not just change the GUI a bit.

So I want to know, is it worth buying Vista, whilst in the anticipation of Vienna?

Windows Vista R2

Anyone have any clue what kind of features Microsoft will be releasing with Vista R2 in 2008, and even further along with the Windows Vienna? I'm excited about both. I'm truly considering holding off on Vista until Vista R2. By the time R2 gets here, they will have perfected R2 better, component prices will have dropped, support will have increased, and the new features will be an advantage. I also am very excited about Windows Vienna considering they are not using any code from any of the previous Windows. They are starting with true scratch, doing away with the start menu, doing away with the task bar.
