Freezing on video playback on internet.

hello all

have an issue with secondary computer, basically keeps freezing when watching videos on the internet such as Youtube.
can anyone help me out with this.

the computer is fairly dated, but is able to run vista as everything else runs fine, and i also ran upgrade advisor before.

AMD 2600 1.9ghz
1.5gb RAM
nvidia 5700 graphics card - couldnt find actual drivers from nvidia site but managed to find them from another source.
2x80gb HD

only minimal programs installed, no used for gaming etc, just basic use.

did have an issue before when it kept freezing constantly but a fresh reinstallation seems to have solved everything except for watching videos from
