I cautiously created a partition E: and installed Vista in a dual boot arrangement with XP and after "playing" with Vista for a few weeks decided to take the plunge and upgrade XP with Vista on C:

I used Easy BCD to delete the E:\Vista but didn't delete the partition before doing the upgrade instal of Vista on C:

Now I can get on the net with IE but Mozilla won't work and Outlook won't retrieve emails. And even though IE is OK Windows Update keeps returning error messages.

I've rebooted into the E:\Vista install and all of the above works.

I know in XP you could not upgrade XP Pro to Home for obvious reasons, what I cannot seem to find in print is whether or not XP Pro can be upgraded to Vista Home Premium, though I feel certain it can. Does anyone really know?And one further...
