Hi, i have a friend that makes some sound hardware and as you all pepole know, Microsoft delivered some windows vista rtm versions to make drivers and stuff like that. my question is, is it necesary to buy a vista ultimate software or is the same as the rtm? thx, note: question is for my friend, i do have vista ultimate 
Is this anything bad like I can't reformat and use again once I use the key? Thx.

I was using the grub bootloader for my triple boot vista / xp /ubuntu system. It is possible to adjust the grub bootloader to provide it with an image (for a graphical background while showing the bootloader).
But the problem with grub is that you cant choose xp or vista directly from the grub bootloader, it goes to the vista bootloader to let you choose between vista or xp.
Now I found a solution to use the Vista bootloader for all 3 OS to directly boot from (which saves me a hit on the enter key 
). This is working great and I'm currently still using the Vista bootloader.
Here i have a problem with the vista. Not any USB flash drive is plug and play. Many USB flash drive are unsupported, when we plug it vista ask for driver. In XP ijust git plug and play every USB flash drive. Is there any solution for it or any driver package for vista flash drive? Thx u ^-^
Has anyone come across a good Video Chat system for Vista? I installed SightSpeed 6.0 but it has issues with my video display mode and will not work even though I have a nvidia 7900 GS. I have emailed SightSpeed's support but have not received a reply.
So... I am looking for something that will be compatible with Vista, my graphics card and Logitech Communicator webcam. I used Windows NetMeeting in XP but Vista no longer supports it. I want to be able to see and hear my grand-daughter who lives in another city.

Hey, I posted this before... but for some reason it got deleted, not sure why but I'll ask again.
When you "Show Desktop" with either Flip3D or the button in the Quicklaunch, it covers your sidebar. I know you can fix the problem by telling the sidebar to be on top of all your windows... but then it's on top of ur windows! I think it's kinda weird how all it really does instead of actually minimizing the other apps, it just puts a mask of some sort on top...
So my question is, does anyone know if they have said anything about this being fixed? Some might find it not a big deal, but I am reluctant to show my destkop that way because then I have no sidebar.
Hi, I just updated to Ultimate, prev I had a Fax machine, after the update I have a Vista Fax machine which works ok, my problem is that every time my phone rings now my machine thinks its a fax, If I don't answer within 2 rings the caller gets that nice fax squeal.
Can anyone be of assistance ?? thx
