Removeable USB devices are not working

Hi all,

I've installed Vista on my TravelMate notebook. When an USB storage device is plugged in and I try to open the folder to view the content, there's a message error; Unable to acces the folder. I downloaded the latest USB drivers from Intel website, but no result. It looks like it's something with the user permissions, but one more strange thing is there - if I plug in the USB device when the notebook is powered off and then I turn it on, the storage device is accessible. However, after it's removed and plugged in next time, it's again inaccessible.

Any ideas?

Discovering Devices On The Network

Has anyone noticed that when you go on 'Network' in Vista, it doesn't always find everything it should, even when refreshed.

For example, in this house at the moment, there are two computers, this one and another downstairs. If I open the 'Network', only this computer is listed. The strange thing is though, if I type in the name of the other computer that isn't showing (eg. //COLLETTE) in the address bar, it shows all the shared folders and printers etc.. on that computer without a problem. But even after that and I go back into the Network, that computer doesn't appear on the list.

Express Upgrade Redemption-ModusLink

As of 2 days ago, when I check my order for the express upgrade to Vista order at ModusLink, the order status shows COA validation failed.
Strange thing is that before Wednesday the order status showed POP/COA validated.
I have been trying to contact ModusLink by phone but to no avail as I keep getting message that customer service officer lines are busy.

Has anyone experienced this problem?
Please advise.
Thanks.
