Stardock has released ObjectDock 1.9. ObjectDock is a free program that adds a configurable, skinnable dock to Windows. Once installed, users can add short-cuts, display running tasks, and add mini-applets called docklets to their docks that can display weather information, time, system info, or much anything else.

ObjectDock 1.9 adds a host of new features including a Start menu docklet (for bringing up the real Start menu in the system tray), live thumbnail previews on Windows Vista, a new weather docklet, minimize and restore effects on Windows Vista, free-form screen positioning, a new graphics engine for massively better performance, reduce memory requirements, new tileable dock backgrounds, and much more.

Vista Aero Problem

I have a RADEON X800RX Graphics Card also known as RADEON X800GT - i downloaded the Drivers aswell as the ATI Catalyst Control Center and the Aero theme still is not applied. When Windows boots in i see the TaskBar is Green Aero - and DWM is enabled but then it gets disabled straight away on bootup. I did the Registry Tweaks thats lurking about on the internet but still not working.

Here is my Windows Experience Ratings Index

SystemBase Score 4.0

Processor Rating 4.0

Customising Vista

Here's a quote from Frogboy, one of the developers of ObjectDesktop, the people who helped design and build the Vista Ultimate Extra "Dreamscene".

Here's his take on the future of customising Windows, starting with Vista.

QUOTE
Vista is just about here and you might wonder what we can and can't customize and how it's going to be done.

If you have Windows Vista (or XP for that matter) you should make sure you have Object Desktop. I'm biased for Object Desktop becuase I work at Stardock. But as a practical matter, if you want to customize Vista, you'll want this.
