I have an intermittent problem. Several programs on my start menu won't start. The system hourglasses, and then - nothing. I found that if I can use the option 'run as administrator', that the programs will start. There is an option on the properties of the shortcut that would allow me to 'run as administrator', but that option is not enabled. For programs like excel, I have to use windows explorer to find the executable under program files, and 'run as administrator' there.

I find this a very frustrating performance with this operating system.

Is there any way to put the 'run as administrator option' for the shortcut.

I would like to make some shortcuts that would automatically raise the priority of whatever the shortcut is for. For example, in my start menu have "Photoshop" "Photoshop Raised" and "Photoshop Extreme."
