I installed Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI via Vista and linked to the Corel site for the Vista O/S update. The install went well but upon trying to use Photo XI, the system crashes with a blue screen. When attempting to re-boot (using dual boot with Win2000), I get an error indicating that "winload.exe" is corrupt when choosing the Vista boot option.

A corrupt "winload.exe" appears to be a prevalent Vista problem for many(Googled problem). I found a solution by running Bootrec.exe after booting from the Vista DVD, selecting repair computer, selecting the command prompt, and entering the Bootrec.exe /FixBoot command. However, the crash also knocks out my second hard drive (Promise RAID controller). I have to shut the system off and turn it back on for the 2nd hard drive to re-appear.
