windows tries to update this Ati 4379 serial ata contoller but fails everytime,and that corrupts the way my pc starts up,now ive got the start up problem and have to go back to an earlier restore point before i can boot up again...please assist in finding a solution to this software update.

Vista Install not seeing Drives

Well I bought Ultimate, stuck it in and it was fine up to the point where it asks you which drive to install it on. None of my serial ATA drives show up, the only thing that will show up is my USB hard drive if I have it turned on. I already did a few things on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927520 but nothing seems to be working, if any of you have a answer I could really use it!

The HDDs are Western Digitals and I think the Controllers are ok but Im not to sure...

I have a Seagate ST3320620AS 320GB Serial ATA plummed into a SATA PCI controller (ALi) when the PC Boots at post I get a notification that the Raid Card has found the drive, but in Vista the drive isn't detected any ideas ?
