I was calculating how much hard drive space I had and found.

Everything under "add and remove programs" except windows update, Roxio and Bluetooth software

Add & remove programs added up to - 1.01GB
Roxio and Bluetooth probably use- 2GB (I'm guessing because windows didn't specify)
Windows update- 4GB (I'm guessing again because windows didn't specify)

Documents- 1.12GB
P2P program- 7.583GB
P2P Downloads in Progress- 17GB (when completed)
Music- 415MB
Pictures- 2MB
Desktop- 202MB
Total=39.72GB

My total Hard drive=80GB

Screensaver and Windows Media Player

My screensaver has worked normally for weeks since I installed Vista (Premium), but since yesterday, it has began to turn itself on after 10 minutes even when I'm watching videos fullscreen in Windows Media Player. This has not happened before.
I've tried to deactivate and activate the option for "Allow screensaver during fullscreen play" (or something like that) in Media Player, and tried to deactivate and activate the screensaver, but no improvement.

Anyone experienced something like this, and anyone with a tips for making this right again? I've even tried restoring to an earlier system restore point, but nothing...

No restore points at all

Thu, 2007-03-29 19:26 - Topics:

Hi, I have a dual boot windows xp and Vista home premium. I have a raid 0 setup with a partition for each operating system. I'm aware that booting into XP will remove the restore points from Vista. However, even without booting into XP, Vista will not automatically create a restore point. I can manually create a restore point, but if I reboot the system, it is gone. Is this normal behavior? I thought the restore points would only be removed if I actually booted into XP.
Thanks for any help.

ok, here's the deal. my system restore "works" because programs tend to create system restore points when they're installing or whatever. but the problem is it won't let me create a system restore point. it says its disabled by group policy or something. i even went playing around in the group policy manager and elevated every system restore thing i could find in there. still doesn't work. any help?
