I have a new ACER computer that has Vista Premium installed. If I let the computer naturaly run through sreen save then into hibernation I have the following problem.
To start the system back up I have always just touched a key or the mouse to reboot, this still works only the mouse and keyboard then go offline.
With both offline the system is usless and I have to then power off and reboot each time, how can I resolve this problem?

Since last night Vista gets as far as the end of the splash screen (with the progress bar and copyright message) and then restarts. The last thing I did was to try and install some HP Printer software which wasn't compatible with Vista - although it took an age during the install before it told me this and promptly crashed so I couldn't exit - once I'd restarted, this problem happened.

Any ideas how to resolve it? I've popped the Vista DVD in and did a "Repair" but it's done no good. Last good configuration didn't work, I can't even get into Safe Mode as it restarts at exactly the same point!

Vista is running well on my Laptop after upgrading from XP Pro. There have a number of issues to resolve and now I am down to two remaining issues. Here is the first -Does anyone know (or understand) why my Laptop will not now join automatically...

A few weeks ago I installed Windows Vista ultimate. The 5.1 surround set worked perfect but my headset didn't, I already looked at my configurations but couldn't resolve the problems. Hi Everyone great forum

I have just upgraded from XP Pro to Vista Home premium so far so good, great like the feel quick.
However i have an LAN HDD with 2 folders on, one with my backup's & the other with my family's backups.
I type in the Run \\backups and i see the folders? However this is where the problems start. I get in to the dir see all the backup's but when i click on the folder's it does not do anything? Is this a sharing problem can anyone point me in the right direction? How can i resolve this problem...
Any surgestion would be great.

Heya, I am getting frustrated as every time i start up vista it seemsa to reinstall my drivers, my internet wont connect because the wifi reinstalls and is now on 'wireless network 6' and most annoyingly i have to resetup my TV card (Pinnacle Hysbrid Pro Pci) in Media Centre every time i restart, which is a pain in the neck! lol, does anyone know how to resolve these issues (or if they are totally seperate and not at all what i have said)
