Hello, I have a Sony VGN TX15P laptop that came with XP preinstalled. I received a Windows Vista Business upgrade disc and have installed it on the laptop. It has significantly slowed my system down. I really like the Vista Business OS but can't stand the delays. I created back-up discs before I installed Vista. Is it possible to re-install Windows XP from the back-up discs? Or is there anyway to speed up the machine thru power management, start-up programs, etc? The specs are:

Intel 1.2 Ghz single core processor
80GB HD
1GB memory

I would appreciate any assistance.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone would knows why my power management settings reset to default after a while.. Like I set my hard drives to shutdown after 20 min, since I have a few HD in my case it helps for cooling, but sometimes I notice they are running when they should be shut down and when I check in Power Management, the timer is back to "Always ON". Any idea what could reset these settings ?

Does any one knows how to control Processor speed under vista?
i did not find it in power management and power plans, i tried to use power save option but this
did not reduce frequency of my CPU, any one having the same problem and fixed ????

my laptop is LG-LP60

CPU P4 HT Mobile 3.06 gig
Ram 1 gig
ATI Mobile 9700 128 Meg dedicated....
