My mthrbrd comes with onboard 7.1 sound. Should I use the Soundmax HD drivers or the windows HD dvce

WMP Question

Hi.

I have an Asus mobo and I am using the onboard sound.
When I run the sound test I get sound from all my speakers (4+sub) but
when I run a mp3 through WMP it only works on the front 2 speakers.
I did not have a problem when I was running XP, is there something that I need to turn on in WMP?
