Hi, i just got vista today and i'm loving it, just one problem. I figured i'd test out this Voice Recognition so i dug out my old PC mic and plugged it in. For some reason it's not detected at all, when i go into "Recording devices" Under Microphone it says "Currently Unavailable". It's defanetly plugged into the pink socket. Any help?
I tried trasnferring "everything" from my old XP PC to my new Vista PC using the etherenet connection. I was transferring about 70GB, so it took quite a bit of time. I let it run overnight, but it didn't finish. I suspect that the old PC went...
I have an old pc which is about 5 years old i believe since i purchased it and i have like 29 gigs of space left, is their anyway to recover all my space back and have everything deleted completely like programs i have added and game/music.
Also i have done instaled windows xp many times.

as some of you may or may not know, i was saving up for a very very high end gaming pc, and was hoping to get it in about 2-3 months, however i've decided to put it on hold for now as, when i do get it it'll have a 64 bit os, and im starting to think that 64-bit needs to mature a bit, also the price was/is to high so i'll need to save up more ££, after i had brought it, i was going to then save up for a very low end laptop to, well just have the choice of laying in bed all day on the internet 
Its so annoying this, why is it software is non compatable? vista is supposed to be the ****, isn't it? i've tried to install the software that came with my new guitar r an m interface and it says i need windows 2000 or newer, however obviously not that new! which means my new bit of kit is undoubtably useless to me until i can get assistence for it, right. it says install software first, should i just ignore it and plug the thing in, or is that a bad idea?
the same thing happened when i bought a hub that effectively turns my old hard drives into exturnal so that i can have a go at salvaging any info that may or may not remain on there since my old pc died on me at the begining of march.
I am looking for a decent low priced pcie video card.I just purchased a new Hp pavilion a1740n pc. The reason i am asking this is because i have a pci nvidia 6200 video card i had on my old pc with windows xp and i cant find any vista ready drivers...
