i have a compaq v3000 which equip wit AMD turion64X2 TL 50 1Gb Ram n nvidia and OEM vista basic. My problem is everytime when i burn a disc , or install a program, there is a msg appear for confirmation either to continue or cancel. As soon as i pressed to continue the screen goes blank (looks quite similar like a sleep mode) then i automatic appears again after app 2 sec. or it will appear after i press any keys. it seems to be quite annoying. please advise

I purchased an OEM Vista Ultimate dvd with a hard drive and tried installing it. when it asks for the key, i enter it and the program either gives an error requesting that the installation resources are present, or gives an application error. If I leave the key blank it proceeds to install, but when it eventually boots to windows, and i try to change the key, (from the default to the legitimate) the SL UI notification service shuts down as well as the Software Licensing service.
After restarting them, they open for a few seconds and then shut down again...so Im unable to activate the software. Could anyone give me a clue as to the possible cause/cure for this!?
