Hi all,

somehow I face here the problem, that after updating my NVDIA driver to version 158.18 my system rating is going to to 4.3 --> befor 4.8........
Initial I was using the 97.42 and later the 101.41 version. Is this the normal behavior and can anyone of you see the same issue?

PS: using a Acer9804Wmi with a NVIDIA GeForce Go7600/256MB

I am planning on purchasing a 22" 16:9 monitor which has a native resolution of 1680x1050. Now I have an nVidia GeForce 7600GT graphics card that supports it but I am stuck with using the crappy beta drivers with vista 64bit ver. I know in XP I can use that nView program and manually change to any resolution I want but when I am in vista I don't see anywhere that I can change this. In both nVidia control panel and the display settings in vista there is a maximum resolution of 1600x1200. Does anybody know how I could manually configure this in Vista before I purchase the monitor. Should I

Hi guys, i'll be installing OEM Vista Ultimate (x64) on my pc tonight, and I just wondered if anyone has run into any driver/software issues with the following hardware:

Lanparty DFI NF4 Extreme
3500+ 64bit AMD Athlon
2gb DDR Crucial RAM
7800GTX nVidia Geforce

My main concern for programs is using mIRC, Steam, and Teamspeak at the moment.

Thanks guys,

Graphic problems not allowing?

Tue, 2007-02-06 00:14 - Topics:

I recently updated my XP home to Vista Home Premium. I did use the upgrade advisor and the only thing recommended was that I upgrade my RAM (512) to 1 GB. Something that I plan on doing very soon.

Right now my notebook (Alienware) is running with the 512 MB of RAM, and running Vista pretty slow. My notebook is also currently running with a video card that my computer defines as this...

Caption: NVIDIA GeForce Go 6600
Adapter RAM: 128MB
DriverVersion: 6.14.10.7810

From what I understand this video card is at least above average. But still, my vista does not load with the complete Aero theme, nor will it allow me to use the windows 3d Flip (Alt-tab) feature. When I go into the control panel and go to performance information, my graphics and gaming graphics both got scores of 1.9 and 1.0 respectively. Is it my video card or the lack of RAM that is making my computer not run these features and be "inferior" in the graphics department. I thought I had a good video card at least.
