Hi All, new Nvidia drivers for Vista available at the Nvidia site.
OK, I've just build my new computer. Installed Vista Home Premium, but I keep getting this error message when installing drivers and stuff:
"The instruction at 0x7402319c reference memory at 0x7402319c. The required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of 0xc000000e. Click OK to terminate the program."
I get several copies of that message, one for explorer.exe, sidebar.exe and a few other things. Under them is another message:
"An error (-5006:0x08000ffff) has occured while running the setup."
If I ctrl+alt+delete, I get another error message:
Hi all. I have an HP Pavillion dv9220ca, came with vista home premium. it also has HDMI output. I also have a samsung DLP TV with HDMI input. When connecting the two I have video but no audio. I've heard that those who've gone back to XP with the same setup have fixed the problem so I'm assuming it's an issue with the nvidia drivers for Vista. Has anyone heard anything regarding this? I'm holding off on going back to XP in the hopes that there's a fix or a driver update soon.
cheers,
nix
As I'd previously posted on here i had a problem with my Dell XPS M1210, when unlocking the screen would flicker and the notebook would lock up for a few seconds.
I've resolved this by downloading the latest nvidia drivers from the dell website.
it may all be in my head but the general explorer problems that i was also seeing seemed to have improved somewhat.
hooray!
actually i was wrong, it's still rubbish ![]()
The Nvidia drivers from HP was missing a lot of customizations found in the XP version. I went
to the Nvidia site and downloaded their latest 64 bit Vista drivers. Even though they are not from
the manufacturer, they work, but the fonts don't look quite as smooth when the digital vibrance
is turned on. Is it still ok to run drivers directly from Nvidia instead of HP?
If anyone has a Geforce FX card or a laptop video card, you can use this website to get drivers : http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/
I know that the drivers work because I have had alot of thanks from people who I told to go to the site.
Also, they sometimes release drivers before Nvidia even releases them, so check for updates often.
Maybe someone can pin this, I think that would be a very good idea.
i have read a similar problem on here and it was to do with Nvidia drivers but im not sure if it is teh same or not ._.
I just bought a new laptop with vista. evrything is perfect except it cant run games so well. Even emulators run bettre on my old laptop with sis650.
The cpu always goes to the top on that little line graph if i start recording with my amiga emulator which i used to do on other laptop and playing more modern games i cant get along with min settings, while i know others with lowers specs and same card use higher.
So im just wondering if its vista causing my problems or maybe to do with my specs. Drivers are updated it seems also.
 Hi, I can`t install my video card drivers !!! what are recommended Drivers for my video card !!! ThanX for your help !!!
Ok, first things first. My card is a nVidia 7900gs go 256mb. Dxdiag tells me I'm running DX10. I didn't think a DX9 card could run DX10, or is my card running DX10 without all the DX10 specific features? Also, my card shows up as a 512mb card under dxdiag. And when I try to use the new beta nVidia drivers it says I don't have compatible hardware, maybe I'm on crack, but I could swear that it said my card is supported by the drivers. Any ideas?
