I had 1GB OCZ DDR PC3200, CAS 2.5
My lowest Vista score was ram, at 4.5

I installed 2GB OCZ DDR PC3200 CAS 2.0 yesterday. (Though running at CAS 2.5)
My ram score went from 4.5 to 5.9.

Now, my lowest base score is my CPU:
AMD 4800+ X2 (running a tiny bit over @ 2.53GHz)
Score: 4.9

All my other scores are 5.8 or 5.9.

Video is Nforce 7800GTX 256MB
Hard drive is dual 250GB SATA2 in Nforce RAID stripe.

I will not be upgrading my CPU, as the absolute fastest socket 939 cpu available is Opteron 185, (2.6GHz)
$300+ for .1-.2 faster cpu is not worth it by any stretch of the imagination.

Getting a blue screen then reboot and it appears there is no Vista driver yet :down: Any Tips?Thanks

I just received my copy of vista ultimate 64 bit, installed the nforce 680I vista driver along the 8800 vista driver, configured ISP and made most of the available windows updates, that's just about what I have done with it so far.

Now the problem is that IE7 seems to be blocking me from a lot of websites: let's say I google something, and click on a result, the page won't load and the status bar display "waiting for www.thevistaforums.com".

By the way I'm writing this post on windows xp since I can't even enter this website on vista, very strange. Downloads also seems to be blocked, I was able to go on nvidia's website but when I click to download a driver, absolutely nothing occured so I had to download all the stuff I need in XP.

I'l have my new pc this weekend and since i gonna buy Vista, i was wondering what others were thinking and experienced allready with the "new" OS.
Besides all those good comments there always are some bad, and i noticed that the bad ones are mostly the drivers can't be found, or doesn't work well (not compitable),...
After this i allready start searching for my drivers on websites and specialy this very usefull forum, but now i wanna know what i can expect after installing Vista on my new pc, anny problems with drivers, errors, crashes,...?

I have Vista Ultimate on my computer. The problem is that when I checked the Window experience feature I got a dismal score of 2 resulting from the 128 meg old Nforce 5200 video card I was using. I recently upgraded to a Radeon 1300 but when I try to refresh my score it never changes.Even though it says that it has detected new hardware and recommends I refresh my score it never seems to alter the number.I wouldn't really care except for the fact that I can run Aero.
