Whenever I transfer files on my home network one of my computers will lag horribly making it almost un-usable. Normally I would understand, but this is a brand new computer with 2 gigs of ram, a 1.8 Intel Core 2 Duo.

Hi. I just got a new computer and want to transfer all my old music files from Computer A to Computer B (which has Vista.)
I plug in my USB, which has some of the music files on it, and that opens the USB folder.
Then when I try to open 'My Music' or ANY other folder, it just comes up blank.
Is my new computer faulty, or do I need to do something to it where I can go 'Start, Open My Documents' (for example) and then 'Start, Open My Pictures' (for example) and have both or multiple folders up at the same time?

When I put vista in it's hibernate mode thing (the new one) my computer will crash and restart.
