Hi, i just got vista today and i'm loving it, just one problem. I figured i'd test out this Voice Recognition so i dug out my old PC mic and plugged it in. For some reason it's not detected at all, when i go into "Recording devices" Under Microphone it says "Currently Unavailable". It's defanetly plugged into the pink socket. Any help?

Which Headset?

Hi there,

I have been scouring the internet looking for a decent headset with a microphone that I can use with the Vista speech recognition.
According to articles, one with a digital input for the mic, i.e USB is best.

So far I have found these:
Logitech Premium USB Headset 250 and 350
Logitech Premium Notebook Headset (Don't actually think this is digital input, just a USB adapter)

I was wondering if any of you guys have used or know of any decent ones... blink.gif

Hello everyone. Just installed Vista Business on my comp today! tongue.gif
everything works smoothly , but the only problem I am having is with my soundMAX superbeam mic that came with my ASUS M2N-SLI mobo. It doesn't seem to get input. BTW I have a dual-boot setup with winxp and when I test the mic in XP it works just fine. Is there any new Vista driver? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Thanks
