Removeable USB devices are not working

Hi all,

I've installed Vista on my TravelMate notebook. When an USB storage device is plugged in and I try to open the folder to view the content, there's a message error; Unable to acces the folder. I downloaded the latest USB drivers from Intel website, but no result. It looks like it's something with the user permissions, but one more strange thing is there - if I plug in the USB device when the notebook is powered off and then I turn it on, the storage device is accessible. However, after it's removed and plugged in next time, it's again inaccessible.

Any ideas?

Error 1606

Hi all, fist post here.

Here's my problem, I have a number of programs that won't install for me. I keep getting a message 'Error 1606: Could not access network location G:Photo\

Now G: is my second hard drive, and there's a photo folder on it. It's not a network folder. I've tried the usual, turn of UAC,run as admin, xp sp2 compat and even disconnected the hard drive.

The 3 main problems I'm having it with are Nero 7, adobe reader verions 6.0-8.0 and bluetooth software for a dongle.

Any advice would be appreciated.
