Hi, I just got vista and was trying to personalize it...I changed my folder for my temporary internet files to the following: c:\Users\dagdagdag\Temp\Temporary Internet Files\I can view the files if I go to Tools>Internet Options>Browsing...
I changed a few default locations in vista to another partition (documents, music, and pictures) via right clicking on them in the start menu and changing the location through their properties. I changed them a few times since I never stuck on one location until now. Problem is, my music folder in the start menu noe doesn't lead to anything. My "Document" and "Pictures" lead to my chosen location, but the "Music" does not. I can't change its location through its properties since it only gives me the general tab. How do I correct its location? I'll post a screenshot.
I lost my admin password.. or should i say i dont know the password. It's because when i bought da laptop, it already have this admin user account(let called it A). Then, i change it to my own username( B ). So i'm still admin. but yesterday... i did this...
1-run command... control userpasswords2
2-then, i change the fullname and username in da option box that popup. I changed it both to "B'. then i juz click Ok.
3-after that, my picture in da start menu have changed to da old user picture(A).
I recently installed a new theme and it worked just fine. When I changed the theme back to the original vista theme the desktop icons did not have the shortcut arrow on them. Instead there is a little piece of paper with icons on it. I dont know how to restore the arrow and im not sure if i accidentally deleted something from the themes folder. There are also no folder icons when I go into "My Computer". If anyone knows what I need to do please let me know. Thanks.
When I started an slideshow with photo gallery and I changed theme and now I can't see the bottom toolbar and when I click the right mouse buttom any control menu is presented. What is happen?, How can I change to classical view for example?
When I have multiple Windows open I would like to know how I change the way they are displayed, I changed it once but I cannot remember how I did it.
HY i need help, i am the administrator of the computer, and i wanted to add security to a folder and subfolders and so on. i selected that users of my computer can't not have full control of my folder. and then i couldn't access into the folder so i changed all security setting back and selected that everywone can use my folder. and then a window appeard when i clicked ok. the windows was for applying security settings to my folder and files in the folder. But then it said for every files that access is denied.
What do i have to do that i can use my files. PLEASE HELP

I'm having various problems with Vista that I can't figure out how to resolve.
1. When clicking on a hyperlink in any office product it gives me the error "The operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator". Obviously I am the system administrator..... Anyway I thought it may have something to do with the UAC so turned it off which did not help. Then I thought it may be a restriction in a policy but couldn't find any with this restirction (there are a lot to look through so I may have missed it) but still having this problem. I had it when first using Vista then it stopped doing it and I could click any link and it would allow me to go to it but now its back and I have no idea what i changed to stop it in the first place nor why it is back! This also happens if I click a hyperlink in a Word document i.e. clicking a link to take you somewhere else in the document also brings up the same restriction.
