I know that ppl have the CTD's when playing 2142 and i myself get this. Annoying yes but i can live with it as i get a good 5/6 maps in b4 it crashes. My main problem is when playing, suddenly the game will start to get really choppy and run about 1 frame a sec. looking at the HDD light it is constantly flashing very fast like its doing a scan disk or a de-frag. Now ive turned off the de-frag option but this seems to have made no difference.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone would knows why my power management settings reset to default after a while.. Like I set my hard drives to shutdown after 20 min, since I have a few HD in my case it helps for cooling, but sometimes I notice they are running when they should be shut down and when I check in Power Management, the timer is back to "Always ON". Any idea what could reset these settings ?
