I think that should be enough information. I am looking to purchase a nice sized mobile hard drive for my laptop, I'm thinking 320 gigs should be good, or 160.

My question is which version of Vista is right for me? I don't know if I can upgrade the RAM or not (it runs just fine for me with 1 gig).

my philips dvd rom drive isnt showing up on my computer and this is what it says on device manager: Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) i need to get this sorted out asap as my windows vista is saying my copy isnt genuine when it is! ive contacted microsoft and they said i need to perform a new clean install but i cant do that until this dvd drive works! someone help me! thanks in advance
