I can copy them over so I have d:/ - music then subfolder Albums, fine no problem but when I try to copy another music icon over to the music subfolder it comes up with a confirm folder replace. Then i chosse copy but keep both icons and nothing happens. This never use to happen in XP

So is their any other way?

Format previous dual boot drive

I installed C:\Vista and D:\WinXP as a dual boot setup using two SATA drives and EasyBCD 1.52. Everything was fine and I continued to use them both until I felt everything was stable. I decided it was time to remove the training wheels (XP dual boot) using EasyBCD 1.52. I rebooted and everything was fine.
Now I wanted to format D:\. Right clicking on the drive and selected Format it would not allow me to do it. I then proceeded to delete everything on the drive. I can delete everything, but Boot and Bootmgr. It tells me that they are in use. To prove this I unplugged the D:\ drive and the system would not boot.

Deleting My Old Version of Xp Off My Hard Drive

Sat, 2007-02-10 06:13 - Topics:

Right, when I got my version of Vista I installed it on a partioned drive. I left my version of xp on that hard drive so I could dual boot but now vista seems to have rid the start up choice of booting into xp and to be honest I never use it anyway.

I go to what is now my D:\ drive and I right click the folders, Windows, Programs Files, Documents and Settings and click delete. I go through all the UAC process and then i get this message all the time:

I go into the folders and I can delete most of the files out from there but the folders still remain and it is annoying me.
