The Federal Communications Commission on Wednesday gave Comcast Corp. 30 days to disclose how it has been managing Internet traffic, its plans for switching to a nondiscriminatory method of traffic management, and the details of the new traffic management system it plans to employ. The FCC laid out the timeline in an order regarding its Aug. 1 ruling that the Philadelphia-based cable-TV, Internet, phone and media company had interfered with its Internet customers’ right to access the content and use the applications of their choice.

Bizarre E-mail Problem and Vista

Alright, so before upgrading to Vista I used Office 2003 with XP pro. I upgrade to Vista, and grab Office 2007 as well and am using Outlook to do my e-mail. Now for some strange reason, I cannot get Outlook to work with Comcast mail.

Pretty standard.

So I try for awhile, and it doesn't work. So I think oh, Outlook 2007 is acting weird, so I download thunderbird and... nope, that won't sync either. So, I'm thinking, ah, must have changed something in my router. So to check I go set up my e-mail on another computer running XP and.... it worked! So, now I'm thinking, ah, Vista and e-mail just don't work!

Went from my Windows 2000 to Windows Vista Home Premium very smoothly. I love Vista. Only problem I've had so far is that it was hard to get my internet to work but I think that was Comcast's problem since internet all over my house magically worked all of the sudden after I gave up. Basically, I love Vista.....I just.........love it.

Vista 64bit Home Premium OEM - Internet Problem

Sun, 2007-02-04 14:23 - Topics:

My husband built a new computer for us (first time) and we installed Vista Home Premium 64bit OEM yesterday. It will not connect to the internet. He has tried connecting just through the modem, as well as through our router (Linksys WRT54G) with an ethernet cable. No connection either way, but the IP address is showing 192... etc...

Vista says "unidentified network" and "access; local only"

Has anyone had this problem? We were on the phone w/ Comcast for an hour last night, and we don't think it's a problem with them.

Any help is greatly appreciated - we're at our wits end, since we have no other support options.
