I installed the most recent ATI driver for laptop 200M for vista 32 bit from website and I still do not even see a catalyst control center on Vista. No way to mess with video card or anything. Anyone else get a catalyst control center running on Vista? Maybe im not doing something right?

Mobility Radeon 9600 on Asus Notebook

Hi all. I have an Asus A2D notebook, with an ATi Mobility Radeon 9600. The stock Microsoft drivers fail to start properly, and hence I get no hardware acceleration. The Catalyst Vista drivers do not help, 7.2 installs, but also fails to work, while 7.4 doesn't install because it doesn't find a suitable chip. The only driver that gives me ANY 3d acceleration is the Mobility Catalyst for Windows XP. This works fine, (except obviously for Aero, seeing as it isn't a WDDM driver - which would be ok if it were the only downside), however I get a BSOD every time I shut down/restart/hibernate. Has anyone got the Radeon working on the A2D under Vista?

SlipStream Driver

Hey I was just wondering if there was a way to slipstream my catalyst Driver for my Radeon X1600 512 Meg AGP Video Card into the windows Vista installation so that if I need to re-install Vista again I can install it successfully with my card. I had to change out my card last time so that the installation would be successful. I luckily had a friends computer with a decent enough video card so that I could install it. Next time I probably won't be that lucky!!! So I need to know how to install the OS with my video card thanks guys. If you have any questions I should be able to answer them (hope
