i have a compaq v3000 which equip wit AMD turion64X2 TL 50 1Gb Ram n nvidia and OEM vista basic. My problem is everytime when i burn a disc , or install a program, there is a msg appear for confirmation either to continue or cancel. As soon as i pressed to continue the screen goes blank (looks quite similar like a sleep mode) then i automatic appears again after app 2 sec. or it will appear after i press any keys. it seems to be quite annoying. please advise

Large downloads are stalling in Vista. Never had this problem with XP. When saving a large file (30 MB) from a web-site, the download stalls around 20% complete and just sits there. I have to cancel the download. This has happened on several different webs and downloads.

I tried to download the free trial of one care, and the installation hanged so I hit cancel, thinking I could just install it again. Now it tells me that its already installed on the computer. add/remove programs doesnt get rid of it, nothin happens when I try that. Customer care sent me a program to unisntall bad installs of it, but it just cancels cause of a missing mri file. Anyone know what to do to get this off my computer so i can reinstall?
