Acpi/4 Gig ram problem

I have an issue that has me puzzled and any help/suggestions would be appreciated. I haven been using Vista Ultimate 32(retail) for awhile now with no issues. I've been thinking about switching over to the 64 bit software so I thought I'd add 2 more gigs of ram to total 4 and thats where the fun has began unsure.gif .
If I try and load my current vista installation with 4 gigs of ram I get a bios non ACPI compliant stop error at bootup 0x000000A5 (0x00001000,0x00000000,0xFFFFFFFF,0x00002040). I have loaded the Vista KB929777 patch (for issues loading windows with 3 gigs of ram or more). If I try & load off the DVD I get the same error after the files are loaded. If I use 3 gigs of ram, no problem. My motherboard also has on board graphics, if I remove my PCI_E card vista will load with no problem with 4 gigs of ram. Could it be an issue with my motherboard, or could my video card be causing the problem? I was also able to borrow 2 sticks of 2gx2 g.skill ram, same problem. I've been looking through the event viewer but haven't been able to find anything. I've been searching around but haven't found anyone with the problem I'm having.

ACPI Compatability Issue

I have run the Vista Upgrade Advisor and it passed with the exception of a few older software issues. When I try to install Vista Home Premier the first screen I get is that my machine has an ACPI Compatability issue and can't install until fixed. I have the latest bios and when I check the bios it shows ACPI enabled. The device manage shows the computer is "Standard", not ACPI. I did have to replace one of the memory chips awhile ago. Here is my system:

AMD Athlon XP2400+
2GB Ram
160GB HD
Windows XP - Service Pack 2 (with all critical updates)
ATI RADEON 9550 Video card.
