Belkin F5D8001 v1

I'm looking for 32bit drivers for my F5D8001 v1 (belkin wireless desktop N card). The 'beta' drivers for Vista home premium listed on the Belkin site for the F5D8001 v1 are crap.

1) it's still only in 'beta' when the v2 of the hardware has a final release listed
2) it's not a whole install it's only the driver in a .zip file. Each time I try to install the PC freezes initially and I have to reboot.

I'm wondering if anyone had an actual installer w/ software that will install the drivers on the Vista home premium machine? Thanks.

I've attached the beta download that you get from http://www.belikn.com.

Changing Nvidia resolution to 1680x1050 in vista

I am planning on purchasing a 22" 16:9 monitor which has a native resolution of 1680x1050. Now I have an nVidia GeForce 7600GT graphics card that supports it but I am stuck with using the crappy beta drivers with vista 64bit ver. I know in XP I can use that nView program and manually change to any resolution I want but when I am in vista I don't see anywhere that I can change this. In both nVidia control panel and the display settings in vista there is a maximum resolution of 1600x1200. Does anybody know how I could manually configure this in Vista before I purchase the monitor. Should I

Full screen multimedia causes black screen

I recently set up a new machine, and everything worked fine after the fresh install, minus a few devices because the manufacturer didnt include Vista motherboard drivers. After the first round of updates, the Media Center application and any fullscreen multimedia applications (Media Player / Photo Slideshow) would not display anything. This had worked previously. The applications run, as there is sound and you can blindly click through menus, but the screen is black.

Thinking this might be an updated video driver from the MS site, i checked installed updates, but did not find any gpu specific update. I visited nVidia's website and installed the Vista drivers with zero luck. I found beta drivers on the site which allowed Media Player to finally play in fullscreen, but the photo slideshow and media center are still blank. I uninstalled those drivers and removed the video card from the device manager to hopefully force the windows default drivers that loaded just fine when i installed Vista, but that didnt work either. I went back to the semi-functional beta drivers from nVidia, and am stuck with limited functionality.

Netgear WG311t Wireless PCI card problems

Sun, 2007-02-11 16:53 - Topics:

I've got a Netgear WG311t Wireless PCI card that I use for my internet connection with my router. It appears that I can get the drivers to install in vista but I can't the software (Wireless assistant) to start up. I can install it and I see the icon for it but when I double click the Icon I only get the little blue ring for about 5 seconds and nothing opens. I've downloaded the drivers from Netgear's site, albeit beta drivers. That's the only drivers they have for Vista.

Anybody have any luck with a WG311t Wireless PCI card?

Thanks

Soundblaster Audigy ZS-2 Platnum sound issues

Tue, 2007-02-06 23:21 - Topics:

I know it sounds a little funny, but let me explain...

I intalled the beta drivers for the soundblaster ZS-2, for the most part it works ok, exept I only get sound out of the front and center speakers, Unless i go into the media center and play sound there, then it reconizes all speakers.

I notice when i have anything going on with my secondary monitors, the sound gets scratchy graphics...(i.e...scrolling IE, opening window on those screens...ect..), as if there is a problem with data transfer on the main board...(installed defualt main board drivers, no vista avail from what i have discoved)
