When playing a video in VLC (Direct X output), the screen blinks for a second and I get this strange error in the form of a balloon in the lower right hand corner. It's happened also while trying to play geometry wars. Could it be because of my dreamscape background? Any other suggestions? (I can't go back to a still image background, not now that I've tasted the glory)
Im usually good with finding damn near anything and have attempted every option I can think of to disable all balloon tips and still the annoying little buggers are popping up....
I have tried the old XP registry tweak with EnableBalloonTips and setting its value to 0
I have gone into Group Policy Object Edit and enabled both Disable all balloon tips and Disable balloon tips in Start menu and notification area and still the little bastards keep popping up... if I cannto figure this out soon I am going to start using a pin to see if I can pop them as they appear on my screen!!!!
