vista can't see my sata drive during install

I am trying to load Vista onto a clean sata hardrive. it is a 74 gig raptor.my mobo is a asus a7n8xeshortly into the install vista begins to ask for drivers for a drive and shows a dialog box whereall available drives it found should be listed...

Help with installing sound drivers?

My computer has an ASUS P5PE - VM motherboard. B4 i reinstalled my copy of windows vista due to severe problems (brang up in an earlier thread) my sound drivers worked fine. Yet now when i attempt to install my sound drivers it keeps telling me that i have the wrong OS, even though i am installing from the same cd and have the same OS. Can anyone help me with this drivers problem? I went to ASUS's website and they have no support for vista. Also my only resource from my old computer i kept on a USB was the windows folder. In it i think i found the specific .dll it adds to the computer but i dont think copying and pasting would work.  Read more »
