Windows Installer Keeps Running

I upgraded to VISTA Ultimate from XP Pro on my computer, now everytime I boot the Windows installer starts to run, it terminates itself after about 5 or six attempts but everytime I bood it does the same thing.

Initially it was looking for an old MSI (Scan.MSI) that was from the installation of a scanner a LONG time ago, I think I was still using XP Home at the time. It would even stop and ask me to insert a CD. I no longer have the scanner or software with that MSI. I searched the registry and removed all references to that particular MSI, now instead of pausing and asking for a cd the installer just stars to run and terminates 5 or 6 times on boot. Since I only reboot my computer about once a day this is an annoyance, more than anything, since it only occurs on a cold boot, but I still would like to get it resolved.

no autoscroll?

Hi..please excuse this repeat question, but still need help unsure.gif . Is there no auto scroll in vista? huh.gif To scroll, you have to enable virtual scrolling which results in an annoying symbol, like a tiny vertical scrollbar, which is attached to the pointer when you scroll. Not a major thing, just an annoyance really wink.gif Thanks in advance for your help.
