I hope I can get some response to this problem. I am trying to get the intergrated webcam to work in a friend's acer 5100 in XP. I tried several drivers but they will not detect the webcam.
What am I doing wrong so the 'image device' is not showing up in the 'device manager'?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the reply. I have tried that option and several others but to no avail. I am almost at the point to suggest to my friend to buy a usb webcam. Acer is aware of the problem with this notebook and the integrated webcam for many users. I am sure according to the search I have done that there are many owners with this problem. It is sad to see that they have abandon this small issue. Some have success with some drivers but many others do not. None of these driver seem to pick up the image device at all. The software installs but there are no indication of the driver picking up the hardware.
