Hi all, I have a bit of an issue with the 'Documents' folder duplicating automatically inside the User folder and it appearing on the desktop - even after deleting it multiple times it just keeps reappearing.. I am using a Dell Inspiron 6400 with 2Gb Ram, 265Mb ATI Graphics card and 1.67Ghz Centrino Due Core 2 Processor using Windows Vista Business.

If anyone can help with this I'd be most appreciated.

Many thanks,

Drew.

Thrilled so far with Vista Home Premium under Boot Camp 1.2 on a MBP

Vista runs great on my Mac Book Pro 2.16 2GB RAM and default 32GB FAT format and Boot Camp 1.2.

The fans runs a little more than I'd like but otherwise, performance and so forth is excellent.

When Leopard comes out, I'll prolly shop around for a 160GB drive and reinstall Leopard and Vista on 75GB partitions.

Using Boot Camp to partition and then install Vista was so ridiculously easy. It kept begging me to read the instructions and kept clicking ok as fast as I could and lo and behold, the whole thing works.

In a nutshell:

1. Take working Mac and install Boot Camp.

Vista network connection issues

Hi Guys,

I have a really frustrating problem that I haven't been able to fix, and haven't got a response from Windows support.

I am running:
Windows Vista Home Premium 32-Bit
6600 2.4 Core Duo 2
2GB RAM
Netgear Modem
DLink Wireless Card DWL-G510.

I managed to find drivers for the wireless card, and it works perfectly fine (I can connect to my wireless network, and pick up networks in the region). I can also surf the net.

My issue is that I cannot connect to bittorent clients (such as Azureus), it says the port is blocked! I cannot connect to MSN whatsoever, there is a connection issue. Windows Defender also has problems updating - it is just unable to connect online to do so.

Hi,

Ive upgraded XP to Vista Ultimate and since doing so have noticed the hard disk of the PC is in far more use now.

Previously I could only really hear it when it was doing specific read/writing, now it seems to be constantly read/writing even when the PC is idle.

Any ideas why this may be, doesnt sound normal to me?

PC Spec: E6000 d2c processor, 2gb Ram.

Hi,

I just got a new computer but have yet to choose which operating system I'm gonna use. I have decided on going for the new Windows Vista because I enjoy eyecandy features and stuff like it.
Problem is, I haven't seen much about the differences on all the different Vista editions, and I'm quite confused about which one I should get.
Currently I'm using my computer for playing games (more often than doing other stuff), programming and graphical design/creation and movie editing. Perhaps you guys know more about this and could help me in the right direction? =)

( Oh, for the record, my comp is a 2,66Ghz Core2Duo, Nvidia GF7950GX2 1Gb, 2Gb Ram, 600Gb HD, dualview 22", X-Fi XtremeMusic. )
