32 Bit & 64 Bit on the same disc ?

Hey guys

I recently ordered a copy of Vista Ultimate 64 Bit DSP.

My package arrived and it clearly stated "32 bit" on the outer box.
I phoned the guys I ordered it from and they said not to worry , it will install whatever your
system is capable of (32 Bit or 64 Bit).

Upon opening the box the disc clearly states "This disc contains 32 bit software only"

The guys I ordered from are adamant that this copy will install the 64 Bit version if my system supports it
(Which is does - AMD 4600 Dual Core), whilst Microsoft says otherwise (I need to order the 64 bit DVD from them).
Seeing as the support staff at both places seem to be very unhelpful I dont know which source to trust.

Can I install 32 and do an update to 64 later ? Or must I insist on getting the 64 Bit disc before continuing ?

Problem with vista !!
Hi guys, I upgraded to windows vista home yesterday. My computer can only allow me to have the home edition. I upgraded from XP Home. Everytime I play a film or watever, its out of sync because the movie runs so slow. Its all pixely n jumps like watchin a webcam. Its the same for every video I play. I have got a XP professional disc and might just do a clean install with that. Cause maybe my computer can't handle Vista. Is this possible to install XP again from a clean install using the disc. If so what procedures do I have to do. I have backed all my files and folders onto couple cd's. Thanks
Plextor 755SA SATA
I have two Plextor 755sa sata CD/DVD burners in my system. Vista has trouble recognizing that there is a disc in the drive. Vista can see the drives not problem. I have the same issue when I put a disc in to install a program. I have to keep trying open the files on the disc. Most of the time it just says that it wants to format the disc.

I have upgraded the firmware to 1.07 and it still has the same problem.

Anyone have this same problem? Please help!

Multiple questions regarding Vista
Hey folks. First post here, did a search of Vista forums and this is the first I visited. Hopefully I can get all these questions answered

First, how does upgrading to 64-bit versions work? I know that the 32-bit and 64-bit versions are all on the same DVD (just like all the vista product editions are), but how does one go about it? If I purchase, say, Vista Home Premium at retail, does one choose during install which bit version to install? Also, say I install the 32-bit version (as I have read about compatibility with 64-bit being less than stellar), and six months from now I want to start using 64-bit. Are 64-bit versions more expensive, or can I just reinsert the Vista install disc and tell it to install the 64-bit when I want to move up? If someone could somehow explain this whole process more clearly to me...
