Hi
I need a information and description of newly added objects and counters as compare to Windows 2003 Server.
Say for example IPsec AuthIPv4, IPsec AuthIPv6, IPsecIKEv6, WFP, WFPv4 etc
I gave a search regarding the same on google but could not gather any information.

Does anyone know why description of perfmon objects not seen in Windows Vista?

Does anyone know how to remove objects from the folder
C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files

This is the folder that is displayed when going to Internet Options > General Tab/Browsing History/Settings > View Objects. There are often ActiveX objects in this folder which are listed as "Damaged" or are otherwise corrupted.

Back in Windows XP it was a simple as right-clicking on a damaged object and choosing "Remove" or "Delete."
Under Windows Vista it does not appear that there is a way to remove objects from this folder.

I've read that this feature has been removed from Windows Vista... and that you're supposed to now use the "Manage Add-Ons" dialog to remove ActiveX controls. Take a look at my Downloaded Program Files folder, however... there's an object names {6414512b-b978...yadda yadda. This does not show up in my Manage Add-Ons dialog... does anyone know how to remove this object??

I'm planning on buying Vista Premium which I realise does not have inbuilt scan and fax feature. I'm also planning of buying a HP Officejet with the print,scan,copy and fax features. I understand that HP will provide their drivers for the Officejet.
I would like to know if I would have any problems using my HP Officejet with Vista Premium. Does anyone have experience using third party scanner/fax with Vista Premium? Pls let me know

Help please!

Whenever I run a system scan, it works for the most part. But then, when I'm just about done, it stops scanning. It shows up on the screen as if it's still working, but the number of scanned files just stops growing. I've come back to it numerous times to find that it is still on the same number. So, whenever I stop the scan, a message comes up asking me if I want to do this. I say yes, and it keeps scanning! I try closing the window, same thing happens. Eventually, I end up having to end the process.

Now, this morning, the status changed. It said that some things "need attention." I click on "fix now," and it begins trying to install updates. This is where I'm really stuck: every time I try to do this, it successfully downloads the updates, but fails to install them.

Everytime I go to a website i get a popup asking me do i wanna allow programs such as Active X to run.It is extremely annoying and i have scanned for spyware with both Lavasoft Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy.I have also Scanned for viruses with Mcaffee Security Center.The Browsers its happening for on my system are IE7 and Avant.I dont have these problems when i use Firefox or Opera.Any help would be greatly appreciated,especially since I wondering if anyone else had these problems,Thanx in advance
