I just got word that Linden Labs decided to open the source code for the Second Life client, and I must say I love their decision. Ever since I first saw Second Life - now over a year ago - I thought adoption would be slow because game mechanics (and other client-side details) weren’t appealing for most people.

To me, the way in which a person dies does not determine whether or not that life was wasted. It is how an individual lives their life that should be measured. If a person stays true to who they are and lives the best life they can, their life is not wasted no matter how long it is or how it is ended.
